Description:

This workshop is designed to assist teachers in enhancing the literacy outcomes for all students. Through the development of accelerated learning techniques teachers will experience first-hand strategies that can be immediately applied in their classrooms to rapidly improve word knowledge, increase fluency and develop comprehension skills.

Participants will experience a range of high value literacy activities including:

• exploring strategies that rapidly enhance reading;
• investigating efficient ways to increase fluency;
• learning how automaticity and comprehension are linked; and
• consideration of the most effective literacy activities and why.

Marcella Reiter
