About ACER Institute

The ACER Institute is committed to providing research-based professional learning that is relevant to educators across a range of contexts.  ACER Institute professional learning is designed to improve learning of practitioners and students at all levels of educational endeavour.

ACER Institute provides:

Workshops  – designed to provide practical evidence- based strategies and approaches relevant to the day-to-day practice of classroom teachers and school leaders.

Leading Thinker series  – a national series that brings inspirational educational leaders to educators at all levels of policy and practice.

Research Conference – an annual conference that brings researchers and practitioners together across Australia to explore a specific topic.

Graduate Programs – University recognised Graduate Programs in the Assessment of Student Learning and the Teaching of Reading for classroom teachers and school leaders.

International programs – custom designed programs for those who design and implement education policy in a range of contexts.

Terms and Conditions
Payments, Tax Invoice/Receipt and Cancellation Policy

All events will be confirmed to proceed at least 7 working days prior to the scheduled starting date.

ACER Institute reserves the right to cancel an event if minimum numbers are not met; in this instance a full refund or transfer of money to another event of the same value is available.  The ACER Institute recommends that participants do not make any travel arrangements until such time as the seminar has been confirmed to proceed.  ACER will not be liable for any other associated costs such as accommodation or travel costs including flights incurred by participants.

Workshop registration is only confirmed when full payment has been received from the participant.

If a participant chooses to cancel their confirmed registration, or cannot or does not attend the workshop, the following conditions will apply:

•The registered participant may invite another person to substitute their place in the workshop (in which they are registered) giving at least 1 working day notice in writing to the ACER Institute at no charge.
•If notice is received 7 working days or less from the scheduled starting date, no refund will be offered.
•If notice is received 8 working days or more from the scheduled starting date, a 50% refund will be offered.
Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of the written notification having been received by ACER Institute.
